David R. Camp

I formed Camp Construction Company in 1991 in Birmingham, Alabama with emphasis on the art of building, believing that house and garden are equal partners in making a beautiful home.

 

I am inspired by the ideals of the Arts and Crafts movement, which focused upon nature and rejected factory-made building components in favor of regional materials, fashioned in hand by local workmen. We endeavor, working with client, architect, and artisan, to make some elements of each home in this fashion.
